Get started with Alegra in four easy steps

Alegra is a cloud-based accounting software that takes care of all your financial needs. To start using your Alegra account, follow these easy steps:

Step 1: Update your company´s information

With Alegra, it is easier to create invoices for your clients and to manage the accounting information of your company. Before getting started, you must enter the general information of your company that will appear in your invoices, estimates, and proposals.

To update your company´s information, follow these steps:

1. Click on the “Settings” option on the main menu.
2. Find the company section and click on the “Company” option.
3. Enter the information requested.

4. Click on “Save” to save changes.

Step 2: Save your services and products

Now it’s time to create your products and services in the system. You can create them one by one or import them massively through an Excel document or a Google Drive Sheet.

Follow these steps to create a new product or service:

1. Click on the “Inventory” option.

2: Choose the option “Sales Items”.

3. Click on the “New sales item” option.
4. Enter the information about the new product or service.
5. Click on the "Save" button.

Step 3: Create contacts for customers and suppliers

If you already have your customers and suppliers info, you can save this data in Alegra to simplify your business and accounting workflows.

To create a contact for a customer or supplier, use these steps:

1. Click on the “Contacts” option on the main menu.
2. Select the type of contact you want to create: "Customers" or "Suppliers".

3. Click on the option "New customer" or "New Supplier", accordingly.

4. Complete the form with the new contact information.
5. Click on "Save" to keep the changes.

Step 4: Create a new invoice

After saving all your business data in the system, you are ready to create your first invoice:

Follow these steps to create a new invoice:

1. Click on the option "Income" from the main menu.
2. Click on the button "+" to create a new invoice or click on the option "Invoices" to see the complete list of invoices created.
3. Click on the button "New Sales Invoice".

4. Complete the form with the requested information.
